Terms of Service

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all makeup services provided by MADE by Kali, a freelance makeup artistry business operated by Kali, based in Wrexham, LL12, North Wales.

By booking a service with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

2. Services

We offer the following makeup services:

• Soft Glam — from £25
• Full Glam — from £30
• Bridal & Occasional Makeup — price on enquiry

Prices are subject to change. The price confirmed at the time of booking is the price you will pay. All prices include VAT where applicable.

3. Booking and Confirmation

• All bookings are made via enquiry (through our website, Instagram, email, or other direct communication).
• A booking is confirmed once we have agreed a date, service, and location, and any required deposit has been paid.
• We will confirm your booking in writing (via email or message).
• We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

4. Deposits

• A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking, particularly for bridal and group bookings.
• The deposit amount will be communicated at the time of booking.
• The deposit will be deducted from your final balance.
• If you cancel your booking, the deposit is non-refundable (see Section 6).

5. Travel

• We are based in Wrexham (LL12) and serve clients across North Wales and Cheshire.
• Travel within a reasonable distance from Wrexham is included in the service price.
• For locations further afield, a travel surcharge may apply. This will be agreed before booking is confirmed.
• You are responsible for ensuring a suitable, well-lit space is available for the makeup application.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellation by you:

• More than 7 days' notice: deposit is forfeited, but no further charge applies.
• Less than 7 days' notice: the full booking fee may be charged.
• No-shows: the full booking fee will be charged.

Rescheduling by you:

• We will try to accommodate rescheduling requests where possible.
• Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.

Cancellation by us:

• In the unlikely event we need to cancel, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer a full refund of any deposit or fees paid.
• We are not liable for any additional costs you may incur as a result of our cancellation.

7. Trials

• Bridal trials are available and recommended. Trial fees are separate from the wedding day service and are non-refundable.
• Trials should be booked at least 4 weeks before your event date.

8. Skin Conditions and Allergies

• Please inform us of any skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities before your appointment.
• While we use high-quality, professional products (including Charlotte Tilbury, Rare Beauty, Doll Beauty, and NARS), we cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur.
• We are not liable for any allergic reactions. A patch test can be arranged upon request.
• If you have an active skin infection, cold sore, or conjunctivitis on the day of your appointment, we reserve the right to refuse service for health and safety reasons. A cancellation fee may apply.

9. Payment

• Full payment is due on the day of service unless otherwise agreed in advance.
• Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking.
• For group bookings, one person should be nominated as the point of contact for payment.

10. Photos and Social Media

• We may take photographs of our work during or after your appointment for portfolio and social media use.
• We will always ask for your consent before sharing any photos publicly.
• You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, and we will remove your images promptly.
• If you share photos of our work on social media, we appreciate a tag or mention (@madebykali).

11. Liability

• We carry out all services with reasonable care and skill.
• Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.
• We are not responsible for the longevity of your makeup, as this can be affected by skin type, weather, activities, and other factors beyond our control.
• We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English and Welsh law.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on the MADE by Kali website — including text, images, logos, and design — is owned by MADE by Kali and is protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

13. Complaints

We take pride in our work and want every client to feel confident and beautiful. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us at madebykali26@gmail.com as soon as possible so we can try to resolve the issue.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. The Terms in effect at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
